Don’t Soak Your Phone!

Standard

On a hot day in Disney California Adventure, nothing is as refreshing as a ride down the Grizzly River Run.  If you aren’t familiar with this ride, it is a free floating rafting adventure through rapids and water falls.  You are certain to get wet on this ride, and very possibly soaked completely.

Set in scenic Northern California style, you’ll float through tall, majestic pine trees and beautiful rock formations. The circular rafts hold up to eight guests, so you are very likely to be riding along with folks you have never met.   As you start to gingerly float along, small talk may be minimal. But you will soon find your entire raft of former strangers has become fast friends as the water begins to splash over the sides and people begin to get soaked. From your raft you’ll hear laughter, screaming, and even some begging (no, no…not my side again!).  I guarantee it is a ride you will not soon forget.

It is not a good idea to take your cell phone or any other valuables that would not benefit from a bath (cameras, photo prints, cotton candy, etc.).   Here is my INSIDER TIP for you:  There are lockers located just outside this ride that are free to use for up to 2 hours, so you can store your things while you ride the rapids. Just to the left of the ride entrance is a little hut used for Disney Vacation Club information. On the back side of this hut are the lockers. They are not plainly visible from the main walking area, so not many guests realize they are there.

I highly encourage you to experience this wild, refreshing ride with your raft full of new best friends.  Enjoy!
